J.P. Bryan is a financial advisor to and early investor in Phoenix Biotechnology, Inc. He began his business career in banking and investment banking with JP Morgan, Dominick & Dominick and EF Hutton, frequently working in medical industry transactions. He has spent more than four decades in the oil and gas industry – including serving as CEO and President of Gulf Canada Resources, founder and chairman of Torch Advisors and executive and board involvement in other energy companies. He has served on the corporate boards of AutoNation, Torchmark Corp., Globe Life, Inc. and Gulf Canada Resources, among others, and is also on the Advisory Board of the University of Texas Medical Branch.
